Follow the valley
ForestFall rests in the Banhoek Valley, between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, surrounded by mountain slopes, vineyards, forest and working farms.
The setting feels private and green, yet many of the Cape Winelands' most celebrated experiences lie within the surrounding valley and along the Helshoogte route.

Directions
Take the N2 toward Somerset West, then the R44 through Stellenbosch toward Franschhoek. Turn onto the R310 into the Banhoek Valley. Total drive approximately 55 minutes.
Head east on the R44 toward Franschhoek. Turn onto the R310 into the Banhoek Valley. Total drive approximately 20 minutes.
Exit onto the N2 toward Somerset West, then follow signs to Stellenbosch via the R44. Continue into the Banhoek Valley on the R310. Total drive approximately 45 minutes.
Along the Helshoogte route
Directly opposite ForestFall, guests can explore the deli and nearby Leopard Lounge restaurant, experience a chilli oil tasting or settle in for relaxed food and local wine beneath the mountains.
High on the Helshoogte Pass, Delaire Graff brings vineyards, landscaped gardens, art and dining together above the Banhoek Valley. Wine tastings, sculpture and several dining experiences create an easy setting for a long afternoon.
Tokara moves naturally between vine and olive grove. Guests can taste estate wines and olive oil, walk between art and sculpture or choose between refined seasonal dining and a more relaxed delicatessen experience.
Zorgvliet carries the atmosphere of an old Cape estate beneath the Banhoek mountains. Wine, relaxed meals and green lawns allow the afternoon to unfold slowly, surrounded by vineyards and historic buildings.
The Banhoek Conservancy protects a landscape of fynbos, vineyards, forest and mountain slopes crossed by trails for walkers, runners and riders. Routes begin close to ForestFall next to the quaint little town of Kylemore.
Boschendal invites visitors to spend the day. Trails cross the farm, picnic baskets travel beneath the trees and estate wines accompany seasonal food. There are cycling routes, walks, gardens, farm produce and open spaces for families.
Two towns. Two different days.
Stellenbosch begins beneath old oak trees. Its historic streets are lined with cafés, galleries, restaurants, museums, bookshops and wine bars. White gables and old buildings sit comfortably beside contemporary food, design and art. The centre rewards walking without a strict plan.
Franschhoek moves at a gentler pace. The village brings together restaurants, boutiques, galleries, tasting rooms and artisan food beneath a ring of mountains. Beyond the main street, wine estates spread into the valley and offer countless ways to spend an afternoon.
A note on arrival
